Where Is A Good Place To Go On A Beach Vacation In Late August?

Me and my bf want a fun beach vacation for our anniversary which is in august, and we had decided on cabo mexico, or the bahamas but now we are seeing how much of a risk that is due to hurricane threats and thunderstorms, we want it to be sunny and beachy. We want to go somewhere where the drinking age is 18 because I am 19 and he is 20. We are looking for someplace that is romantic yet has a very fun crazy nightlife. If you have any ideas please let me know we are looking to book a trip ASAP!!
