I have been there several times, and I have not visited a beach in Destin I did not like. They are all clean and beautiful. You should stay in the Ft. Walton side, things are cheaper over there, and the beaches are great there too.

Iv been there about 8 times ft walton is the nicest part i think! I like okaloosa island though cuz its kinda sucluded but it also has the clubs and its pretty awesome. I stay at the ramada on the island its SOO nice. Love it

Why do Florida at all? Cancun is WAY nicer, and a short hop away.
Cancun has the most beautiful water and sand I’ve ever seen. There are some really good deals this year, the Federales are always around, toting sub machine guns to make sure it never gets out of hand like Panama or Lauderdale Of course, when you talk about the civilization, the city of downtown Cancun is rural and very cool. Destin is heavily developed and access to the beach can be a problem if your hotel or condo is NOT actually on the water. Many hotel or condo websites make the property sound like it is on the beach when it is actually “across the road”. Check before you go to make sure your hotel/condo is actually on the beach (if that is what you want).
