It's not the most popular island because it doesn't have everything that Oahu, The Big Island, and Maui have to offer but it still has the great beaches, beautiful mountain sides, and shops. Even then, to fly to Kauai you must go through the honolulu airport. You can go to Honolulu for a day or two for all the great tourist-y things than head on over to Kauai. Now if you want a lot of peace and quiet with nothing else to do but to enjoy you and your wives time together, go to Molokai. I've heard it's beautiful.
