We are looking for a family vacation spot this summer in mid to late June. We are driving from the midwest so would like to be within 1200 miles each way. We for sure want to be on a beach but we have never been anywhere in North or South Carolina or the Florida Panhandle. Is there a better place?( We do not want to do Orlando). Should we be concerned about hurricanes this time of the year? Thanks!
