Myrtle Beach Family Vacation With Teenage Kids?

we have 5 kids between 12 and 17 and 5 adult. we’d like an area with a lot of people, things to do, shops, restaurants, oceanfront, ect. i’m confused about what area to stay in, north, south, or central?
we’d also like to be by the amusement parks. can you recommend a resort or hotel to stay in that is right on the water?
also are there a lot of teenagers there in the July?
