If the house you are talking about is on the beach side of 87 it is either NOT there OR likely to be heavily damaged. Every house has SOME damage. There are no services in Crystal Beach or all of Bolivar. No electricity, No water, No sewage. It's very primative right now. I hope we'll have services in a year but don't count on it in all areas--some areas will take longer. I don’t think Swedes is there anymore.

Most of the houses were totally swept away by the over 14 feet storm surge. They had no sea wall and I believe they are at sea level. So you can imagine. The houses that are left may not look to bad from the air, but when you open the doors everything is lost. By next summer, it's safe to say you can stay on Galveston Island and take the ferry over to Crystal Beach.
